Season preview 2009Hope all are well. From so many perspectives it’s been a tough winter. Let’s go fishing so we all feel better! The season is almost here. I’m maintaining a list of folks that want “in” as soon as the fish show in early June. Per our philosophy of no boatrides, I’m holding off firm bookings for the first ten days of June until we confirm it’s trophy time. I’ve upgraded our spin tackle to Shimano combos. These “freshwater” sticks were a LOAD of fun last fall. Some of those fish would have eaten most lakers, and on some nights outfished our normal troll sticks. I’ve also added Shimano “trigger grip” rods to the level wind setups, after seeing how well the prototype worked last fall. I guarantee no charter boat on the Seacoast offers this level of quality equipment! I’m holding prices at ‘08 levels. Gas is down, insurance and State requirements up, but let’s just go fishing, OK? Saltwater fishing licenses are NOT required in NH this season. As the regulations appear to be heading, my boat license will cover those fishing aboard in 2010. My permit also covers bluefin tuna – hope they return this year! Special offer: anyone beating last year’s high fish – 50.75 lbs, will be awarded a FREE TRIP. So….. C’mon Down… Capt. Bob |
