June 7, 2009Game on. We’re off to a good start. Mackeral are in, and there is a strong showing of stripers right under them. Nothing breaking 40″ yet, but good solid numbers less than two miles off the beach. We’re heading out at first light right now, with nearly guaranteed calm conditions. These trips have you back to the dock by late morning, allowing you to enjoy the day or – dare we say – get in to work… Speaking of the dock, a colleague had a mackeral chunk hanging off a light rod while performing his post-charter cleanup today. A 35″ striper interrupted things…. It’s been a long winter folks, so….. C’mon Down… Capt. Bob |
