June 14 Things are getting interesting!

So how does striped bass, bluefish, and bluefin tuna on one trip sound? Full disclosure: we failed to hook the 100 lb that crashed bait alongside us while catching mackeral, but it sure got our attention!

In a pattern similar to the last few years, bluefish have staged an appearance – in 52 degree water! Today’s were 8-12 lbs, but are tough on fluoro leaders.

The striper bite is pretty steady, and more shoreside than offshore. Most fish are in the low 30″ range, but getting bit has been a function of good bait and a bit of hunting.

School’s out soon, so c’mon down….
